Guidelines For Contributors

Manuscripts should be submitted in triplicate copies along with a non-refundable fee of =N=500.00 in Bank-draft to the Editor, whose name and address appears below, not later than 30th June every year. As from the year 2008, two issues ob the Journal of NAMP will be published each year and these will appear in the months of May and November.

Articles are entertained all year round but authors wishing their manuscripts to be published in any of the journal issues should endeavour to submit their manuscripts at least five months earlier (i.e. June 30th is the deadline of submission for the November issue while December 31st is the deadline for the May issue). The submission of a paper implies that it has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration for publication with other journals. Once a paper is accepted, it is assumed that the author has ceded copyright to the journal of the Nigerian Association of Mathematical physics.

Manuscripts must be in English, should be typed in double spacing and should not exceed 20 typed A4 pages in length. Authors are urged to pay careful attention to symbols, which should be typed neatly and unambiguously, using equation editor, (NOT SYMBOLS) and separating equation number from the equation file and each equation statements should NOT BE GROUPED and should be properly aligned to distinguish subscripts and supercripts. Any paper with Mathematical equations, typed without using equation editor would NOT BE ACCEPTED and equations should not be grouped as objects. All tables, figures, and references must be cited in the body of the paper. Tables, Figures and references should be numbered in the order in which they are cited in the text. All graphs and figures should be neatly drawn or plotted and bold enough in case of enlargement.

The Standard International (SI) system of units should be used in all manuscripts. Unusual symbols, abbreviations or notations should be defined when first mentioned in the text.
Authors should also submit CD (Compact Dick), not diskette containing their manuscripts done in Microsoft word. Authors should be sure that their soft copy is VIRUS FREE, otherwise, the paper would be rejected and any paper not on CD would be rejected. STORAGE OF INFORMATION HAS GONE BEYOND DISKETTE LEVEL.

Manuscripts should contain the following headings, where appropriate;
TITLE (followed by the author's name and address);
ABSTRACT (That is, a brief summary of the contents and conclusion of the paper, not exceeding 200 words);
INTRODUCTION;
THEORETICAL ANALYSIS;
EXPERIMENTAL WORK;
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION;
CONCLUSION;
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS AND REFERENCES.

All papers will be acknowledged and referred and papers once received will not be returned to authors. Contributors of an accepted paper will be expected to pay a publication charges which are subject to frequent review. Contributors of articles are therefore expected to liase with The Editor to obtain the most recent information on the charges they are to pay.
